School Occupational Therapist | Kannapolis, North Carolina

Occupational Therapists passionate about supporting students are invited to apply for a school-based contract opportunity, working in an itinerant capacity across multiple educational environments. This role starts as soon as possible and is projected through late January, covering a maternity leave at a full-time schedule (37.5 hours per week). Qualifications and Experience:

• Active, unrestricted NC Occupational Therapy license (please submit a current snapshot with your application)

• School-based occupational therapy experience required; knowledge of best practices in educational OT

• Familiarity with ECATS documentation platform

• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently while traveling to multiple sites

• Previous experience supporting K-12 populations is highly valued

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy evaluations, direct interventions, and consultation as part of student IEP teams

• Manage a diverse caseload across various school sites as an itinerant provider

• Document services and progress using ECATS efficiently and accurately

• Participate in eligibility, annual, and IEP meetings as needed via teleconference or in-person

• Coordinate with teachers, classroom assistants, families, and other specialists to promote student access to curriculum

• Provide training and support to school staff regarding adaptive equipment and therapeutic interventions
