Job Description
The role involves providing specialized pediatric hematology/oncology nursing care in an 11-bed unit, supporting infants, children, adolescents, and young adults with complex disorders.
Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive patient assessments, administering evidence-based treatments, advocating for patients, and collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, safe care.
Nurses will deliver compassionate education to patients and families, maintain accurate documentation, and participate actively in interdisciplinary rounds to facilitate seamless care transitions.
The position emphasizes teamwork, clinical judgment, evidence-based practice, and continuous professional growth through ongoing education and career development opportunities.
Candidates must hold an active New Jersey RN license, current BLS certification, and certifications such as ACLS, PALS, and APHON Chemotherapy.
A minimum of one year of pediatric care experience is required, with pediatric oncology experience preferred.
The role is for night shifts, 36 hours weekly, with competitive compensation.
