Job Description
Role: The RN Clinical Nurse provides high-quality, safe patient care on a specialized Oncology unit, working as part of an interdisciplinary team.
Responsibilities include: Performing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation), delivering relationship-based, patient-centered care that respects cultural diversity, and collaborating through effective communication and documentation. The role involves supporting performance improvement initiatives, participating in evidence-based practice and research, and mentoring other staff.
Qualifications and Skills: Minimum of 5 years RN experience with direct patient care, valid RN licensure (single-state or multi-state compact), BLS certification, and basic computer skills. Strong interpersonal, teamwork, critical thinking, time management, and emergency response skills are essential. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
Key Duties: Coordinate safe, quality care; promote a respectful, inclusive environment; adhere to organizational policies and standards; participate in protocols development; support resource efficiency; and uphold professional standards aligned with the Georgia Nurse Practice Act and ANA Code of Ethics.
