Role: Registered Nurse - Oncology Unit (Nights)

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and gather health data involving patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Coordinate and implement patient care plans ensuring interventions are safe, effective, and timely.
• Communicate clearly and effectively in person, via phone, and in writing with patients and colleagues.
• Provide individualized patient and family education based on thorough assessments.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to evaluate nursing practice effectiveness.
• Maintain current knowledge of nursing standards, laws, and regulations.

Qualifications & Skills

• Associate's Degree or BSN from an accredited nursing program.
• Current Illinois nursing license.
• CPR certification from the American Heart Association.

Key Duties

• Provide comprehensive nursing care during night shifts, working at least 48 hours every six weeks with weekend hours included.
• Deliver patient-centered care, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and quality assurance activities.
