Job Description
The role involves providing compassionate, expert nursing care in an infusion center, primarily focusing on oncology patients.
As a Registered Nurse, you will develop and evaluate individualized care plans, assess patient health data, and communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes.
You will educate patients on disease management, support self-care, and contribute to professional development through knowledge sharing and research activities.
Additional responsibilities include assisting with technical procedures like venipuncture and IV management, participating in performance improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, at least one year of RN experience (preferably oncology/infusion), current Illinois RN licensure, and BLS certification.
Ongoing certification in oncology nursing (OCN/ONS) is required or will be pursued.
