Job Description
Role: Medical-Surgical Oncology Registered Nurse
Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive assessments of adult oncology and complex medical patients
Administer medications, including chemotherapy, and manage IV therapies
Monitor patient responses to treatments and adjust care as needed
Coordinate interdisciplinary care teams to ensure seamless patient management
Educate patients and families on treatment plans, symptom management, and safety protocols
Support symptom and pain management, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards
Participate in shared governance, ongoing professional development, and quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications & Skills
Licensed Registered Nurse with relevant experience in oncology or medical-surgical care
Knowledge of chemotherapy administration, IV management, and patient safety protocols
Strong communication and patient education skills
Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams
Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous learning
