Job Description
Role: Oncology Infusion Nurse
Responsibilities
Provide safe, compassionate infusion care for patients receiving chemotherapy, biotherapy, and supportive treatments.
Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor for infusion reactions.
Initiate and manage IV access and central lines.
Deliver evidence-based symptom management.
Educate patients and families on treatment processes and care.
Coordinate with oncologists, pharmacists, and the care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Accurately document care activities and patient information in the EHR.
Qualifications & Skills:
Strong clinical assessment and IV management skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Excellent communication skills for patient and family education.
Knowledge of oncology treatments and infusion protocols.
Commitment to patient-centered, evidence-based care.
