Registered Nurse-Inpatient Hospice

Intermountain Health seeks a compassionate Registered Nurse for our Inpatient Hospice team in Salt Lake City. In this role, you'll provide expert end-of-life care, focusing on comfort, dignity, and emotional support for patients and families. Responsibilities include comprehensive assessments, pain and symptom management, care plan development, and close collaboration with an interdisciplinary team. You'll document in our EMR, educate families on hospice options, and contribute to quality and safety initiatives within our mission-driven, patient-centered culture.

Responsibilities
• Deliver comprehensive inpatient hospice nursing care and monitor patient status
• Manage pain and symptoms using evidence-based hospice protocols
• Develop, implement, and update individualized hospice care plans
• Coordinate care with physicians, social workers, chaplains, and other team members
• Educate and support patients and families on end-of-life care and choices
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the EMRParticipate in quality improvement, safety, and compliance initiatives
• Advocate for patient comfort, dignity, and cultural preferences
• Train and mentor new staff or students as needed
