Job Description
Position: Registered Nurse, Oncology
Location: Evanston Hospital/Evanston Kellogg Cancer Center
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours/week, with shifts varying from Monday to Friday, no weekends or holidays
Role And Responsibilities
• Provide safe, compassionate, and effective nursing care for oncology patients on a dedicated unit
• Utilize the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
• Supervise and guide unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary care
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care
• Contribute to safety initiatives and enhance patient experience through high-quality care
Qualifications And Skills
• Current Illinois RN licensure required
• Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's preferred
• CPR certification required; OCN/ONS certification preferred
• Minimum of 1 year experience in Oncology Outpatient Infusion or related fields such as ED, ICU, PACU highly preferred
