Role Overview
The RN Clinical Nurse is an integral part of an interdisciplinary team, providing individualized, high-quality, safe patient care in a clinical setting. They practice under the guidance of Nurse Managers and adhere to evidence-based standards aligned with the Wellstar Professional Practice Model, ensuring compliance with regulatory and ethical standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform comprehensive nursing processes—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—focusing on patient-centered care that respects cultural diversity.
• Partner with patients and families through effective communication and education, aligning care with patient goals.
• Coordinate safe, quality care via interdisciplinary collaboration, documentation, and fostering an inclusive, respectful environment.
• Support performance improvement initiatives, participate in research, and promote evidence-based practices.
• Contribute to professional development by mentoring others, maintaining competencies, and engaging in ongoing education.
• Develop protocols and support resource management to optimize patient outcomes and system efficiency.
Qualifications & Skills
• Licensed RN with a minimum of 5 years of direct patient care experience.
• Current RN license (single or multi-state), BLS certification, and basic computer literacy.
• Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and customer service skills; capable of responding effectively in fast-paced, emergency situations.
• Ability to think critically, utilize evidence-based practice, and demonstrate excellent time management.
