Job Description
Role Overview: The RN Oncology Infusion Therapy Clinician provides specialized nursing care in an outpatient infusion setting, focusing on administering chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapies for malignant and nonmalignant conditions.
Key Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and evaluate treatment outcomes using evidence-based practices.
Deliver safe, culturally competent, patient-centered care, addressing biological, emotional, psychosocial, and educational needs.
Coordinate interdisciplinary communication, document care accurately, and support a respectful, inclusive clinical environment.
Maintain competency in chemotherapy administration, serve as a preceptor or mentor, and promote professional development through continuing education and certification.
Engage in performance improvement initiatives, support evidence-based practice, and uphold regulatory and safety standards.
Contribute to protocol development, resource management, and research activities to optimize patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
Qualifications & Skills: Must have prior oncology experience, current nursing licensure, and familiarity with chemotherapy and targeted therapies. Strong teamwork, critical thinking, communication, and commitment to ongoing professional growth are essential.
