As a Clinical Coordinator (RN) in our Radiation Therapy department, you will deliver holistic and exceptional nursing care to patients and their families. Collaborating with Radiation Oncologists, you will assess patient needs, develop care plans, and monitor the effectiveness of treatments throughout the care continuum. Your responsibilities will include:
• Educating patients about the radiation therapy process and their treatment journey.
• Discussing treatment modalities, pain management strategies, skin care, potential side effects, and nutritional needs.
• Assisting physicians during consultations, weekly evaluations, follow-up visits, and as necessary.
• Providing nursing care as prescribed, including dressing changes, skin and wound care, suctioning, glucose monitoring, and oxygen saturation assessments.
Minimum Requirements:
Current Connecticut RN License
Education: BSN strongly preferred
Experience: Minimum of two years of previous Oncology Nursing experience preferred
