Job Description
Join our dedicated Oncology Department as a compassionate Registered Nurse, where your vital role involves delivering evidence-based care to patients undergoing cancer treatment. You will engage in patient assessments, administer chemotherapy, manage symptoms, and educate patients and their families. Responsibilities
• Deliver direct nursing care to oncology patients throughout their treatment cycles.
• Administer chemotherapy and other oncologic therapies according to established protocols.
• Monitor, assess, and document patient status and responses to treatments.
• Develop and maintain individualized care plans in partnership with the care team.
• Provide education to patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and symptom management strategies.
• Work collaboratively with physicians, pharmacists, and other multidisciplinary team members.
• Ensure adherence to safety, infection control, and quality improvement standards.
• Participate in patient-centered care initiatives and contribute to enhancement projects.
Required Skills
• Experience in oncology nursing.
• Proficiency in chemotherapy administration.
• Strong patient assessment capabilities.
• Expertise in care planning.
• Competence in IV therapy.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR).
• Ability to educate patients and families effectively.
• Central line management skills.
• Strong symptom management knowledge.
• Adherence to infection control practices.
