Job Description
Role Overview: A registered nurse with independent clinical practice, providing routine and complex patient care while managing long-term goals and contingencies.
Key Responsibilities
• Utilize the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation—to deliver patient-centered care.
• Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Administer medications and treatments per protocol, monitor for side effects, and document care activities.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate tasks to care team members to optimize patient management.
• Meet competency standards, participate in orientation and residency programs, and complete annual skill validations.
Qualifications & Skills
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred; RN license in the relevant state or with a compact license required.
• At least one year of relevant nursing experience preferred.
• Current BLS and PALS certifications required; additional certifications may be required based on specialty.
• Strong assessment, communication, and patient education skills.
Additional Requirements: Attend orientation, complete competency validations, and maintain certifications within specified grace periods. Multiple shifts available for full-time employment.
