Radiation Therapist - Radiation Oncology

Role: Radiation Therapist responsible for administering ionizing irradiation to patients following physician prescriptions.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver prescribed radiation therapy, ensuring patient safety and proper communication during treatment.
Prepare treatment rooms and equipment, transfer patients, and accommodate their specific needs.
Monitor patients for reactions and complications, reporting any concerns to supervisors and physicians.
Maintain accurate treatment records and review patient charts to prevent errors.
Supervise and evaluate students' practical performance.
Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

Required ARRT-Radiation Therapy (ARRT-T) and Therapeutic Radiologic Technology (TRT) certifications.
Preferred education includes a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in radiological technology.
Experience in radiologic technology is advantageous.
Knowledge of radiation safety measures and patient care protocols.
Ability to explain procedures clearly and observe patients attentively.
