Job Description
Role Overview: The Radiation Therapist directs daily treatment operations to ensure quality patient care, adhering to safety and radiation therapy standards. They collaborate with Radiation Oncologists, Physicists, and Managers to deliver high-quality services and assist in planning treatments.
Key Responsibilities
Set up treatment rooms, devices, and parameters as prescribed.
Identify and monitor patients during treatment, reinforce instructions, and maintain markings.
Position patients accurately, coordinate treatment schedules, and document in records.
Perform simulations, brachytherapy procedures, and equipment quality checks.
Maintain and troubleshoot equipment, follow safety protocols, and assist with device changes.
Handle ancillary duties like filing, answering phones, and supply monitoring.
Qualifications And Skills
State licensing in Radiation Oncology and ARRT certification (required).
CPR certification (required).
Minimum of 1 year experience in Radiation Therapy and CT Simulation (preferred).
Strong communication skills, ability to interpret instructions, prioritize, work independently, and adapt to change.
Compensation: Range from $38.64 to $61.82 per hour.
