Job Description
We are seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in Radiation Oncology to provide comprehensive patient care in a complex clinical setting.
Responsibilities include
assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for adult and pediatric patients, with a focus on intraprocedural support during radiation treatments
delivering patient and family education, psychosocial support, and ensuring safety before, during, and after procedures such as brachytherapy, external beam treatments, and recovery
collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team across multiple institutions
performing procedures, point-of-care testing, and maintaining accurate documentation
participating in quality improvement, staff orientation, and research activities
adhering to safety protocols, managing resources efficiently, and supporting a safe environment
Qualifications include
current registered nursing license in Massachusetts
bachelor’s degree in Nursing (for new graduates)
PALS certification within one year
minimum one year of intra-operative or surgical nursing experience, with preferred backgrounds in surgical oncology or radiation oncology
Skills required are
clinical expertise, critical thinking, excellent communication, teamwork, and the ability to manage high-acuity patients
physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and reposition patients and equipment safely
