Physician - Hospice/Palliative Care

We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Hospice and Palliative Medicine physician to join our academic palliative care program.

Responsibilities Include

• Providing inpatient palliative care consultations at medical centers, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team of physicians, advanced practice providers, social workers, chaplains, case managers, and community hospice staff.
• Teaching medical students, residents, and fellows, and participating in interdisciplinary rounds and education initiatives.
• Contributing to hospital quality improvement projects and expanding palliative care services across the health system and community.
• Engaging in program development, curriculum creation, and scholarly activities is encouraged.

Qualifications And Skills

• Board eligibility or certification in Hospice & Palliative Medicine.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team.
• Knowledge of hospice, serious illness care, and community resources.
• Interest in teaching, mentoring, quality improvement, or research.
• Experience is preferred but new graduates are welcome to apply.

The team: The palliative care team includes physicians, nurse practitioners, and social workers providing inpatient and outpatient support across various specialized services, including ICU, oncology, and transplant care. The role offers a faculty appointment and opportunities to grow within an academic medical environment.
