Quick Facts Location: Topeka, Kansas Start Date: 10/05/2026 End Date: 04/05/2027 (with extension options) Shift: 12-hour shifts, every other weekend Hours/week: 36 hours guaranteed Employment Type: Contract (Longer contracts preferred) Licenses/Certs: KS or multistate license, BLS required, chemotherapy certification preferred Experience: 1+ year acute care, oncology/hematology experience preferred Pay & Benefits Hourly Pay Rate: $56.95/hr Benefits include: Competitive pay packages Weekly pay via direct deposit Medical benefits (W-2) Robust referral bonus program Paid sick time in accordance with applicable laws Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements What You ll Do Provide specialized care for hematology and oncology patients in a 21-bed unit Administer chemotherapy and manage symptoms related to cancer diagnoses Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans Support palliative and hospice/end-of-life care Float to post-surgical and general med-surg units as needed Maintain accurate documentation using Epic system Ensure patient safety and comfort while adhering to hospital policies and protocols What You Need Active Kansas or multistate RN license (no exceptions) BLS certification required; chemotherapy certification preferred Minimum of 1 year of acute care nursing experience, oncology/hematology experience preferred Ability to work flexible schedules with no anytime availability Strong clinical skills and professionalism in a high-reliability environment About the Assignment Join a dedicated team in a 21-bed Hematology & Oncology unit caring for patients with complex medical needs, including inpatient chemotherapy, symptom management, and supportive end-of-life care.
