Patient Service Representative - Medical Oncology - Casual

Role: Patient Service Representative supporting patient check-in/out, registration, billing, and appointment scheduling in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and guests, confirm identity, and provide visit information.
• Complete check-in/out processes, update patient demographics and insurance details.
• Obtain patient consents and collect payments including co-pays and balances.
• Post payments, process billing, and perform cash drawer reconciliation.
• Maintain a clean waiting area and inform patients of delays or appointment changes.
• Schedule appointments and support float staff in different clinics/departments as needed.
• Adhere to organizational policies, ethical standards, and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 0-2 years customer service experience.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree, healthcare experience, medical terminology knowledge, bilingual skills.
