Job Description
Role Overview: Provides direct patient care in a specialized outpatient setting, focusing on oncology treatments such as chemotherapy, blood products, IV hydration, and port care.
The position emphasizes patient and family-centered care, education on illness management, and collaboration within an interprofessional team.
Key responsibilities include developing, implementing, and documenting individualized care plans, assessing physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, and ensuring effective communication across care continuum.
This safety-sensitive role requires working with alertness and safety in mind, adhering to standards of nursing care and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications: RN license, with a nursing diploma or associate's degree; preferred qualifications include a bachelor's degree in nursing and less than 2 years of experience. Oncology experience is preferred but not mandatory.
