Job Description
Role: Provides specialized nursing care for patients in a Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) Oncology unit, focusing on high-acuity interventions such as leukemia treatment, stem cell transplants, and immunosuppression management.
Responsibilities: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team. Educate patients and families on disease management, post-treatment care, and medication administration. Promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Develop individualized care plans, communicate effectively across care continuum, and address physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs.
Qualifications & Skills: Valid RN license with a BSN or ADN degree; preferred Bachelor's Degree with less than 2 years of experience. Ability to work safely and maintain alertness in a safety-sensitive role. Strong critical thinking, communication, and patient-centered care skills are essential.
Key Duties: Deliver direct patient care, support clinical trials, manage complex treatments such as allogeneic transplants, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, social workers, and pharmacy. Engage in professional development and adhere to standards of nursing practice.
