Oncology/Surgical ICU Charge Nurse - Full-Time

Role Summary: This position is for an Oncology Charge Nurse (RN) responsible for leading and coordinating nursing care in a specialized ICU unit.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of complex, individualized care plans in collaboration with an interprofessional team, patients, and families.
• Assess, evaluate, and document patient conditions, proactively identifying and mitigating potential issues.
• Facilitate seamless care transitions from hospitalization to outpatient settings, ensuring continuity and quality.
• Utilize evidence-based practices, participate in scholarly activities, and support practice improvements.
• Evaluate patient and family satisfaction, adjusting care to enhance outcomes and experience.
• Act as a clinical resource for staff, providing guidance and support in a safety-sensitive environment.

Qualifications & Skills

• Current RN licensure with a diploma/associate's degree; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2-5 years of bedside ICU experience; charge nurse experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong leadership, critical thinking, and evidence-based practice skills.
• Ability to work in a safety-sensitive environment with alertness and professionalism.
