The Greater Manchester Region employs around 2,500 professionals and encompasses Manchester Memorial Hospital, a 249-bed community hospital, Rockville General Hospital, a 102-bed facility, a large multispecialty provider group, and visiting nurse services. POSITION SUMMARY:
As an Oncology/MedSurg Nurse Assistant, you will:
• Assist patients with meeting their basic human needs and activities of daily living.
• Provide essential patient care under the supervision of an RN or LPN.
• Perform Nurse Assistant II competencies after receiving education to enhance patient care.
• Manage clerical duties to support nursing staff in daily operations.
• Prepare and maintain medical records and transcribe physician orders.
• Function as a receptionist and help maintain a clean and safe environment.
This role requires you to seamlessly alternate between clerical and clinical tasks to meet departmental needs while reporting to the Clinical Nurse Manager.
Qualifications
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
• High school diploma or GED and successful completion of a certified nursing assistant program is preferred.
• Nursing students who have completed a semester of clinicals may also apply.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification is required by hire date or during the introductory orientation period, with ongoing maintenance of clinical competency.
EXPERIENCE:
• Knowledge of medical terminology and excellent customer service skills are essential.
