Oncology Nurse - Part Time

Job Summary

Provides comprehensive nursing care to oncology patients in clinical settings, including assessment and monitoring during treatment.

Essential Responsibilities

• Performs thorough patient assessments prior to provider visits and chemotherapy appointments, gathering essential information.
• Provides ongoing assessments throughout patient visits to ensure quality care.

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of current oncology experience, including chemotherapy administration.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Valid Registered Nurse license from relevant states or a compact license, with credentials from all applicable states required post-hire.
• Licenses from Virginia, Maryland, or District of Columbia must be obtained within six months of hire.
• Basic Life Support certification.
• Oncology Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy Certification within three months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) credential preferred.
