Job Summary and Qualifications
In this critical role, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care tailored to the needs of each patient while adhering to the standards of practice in oncology nursing. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, you will deliver personalized, compassionate care while advocating for patients, families, and caregivers. Your work will reflect the organization's mission and values, ensuring outstanding patient experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and monitor patients' conditions at admission and throughout shifts, reporting any changes promptly.
• Perform medical procedures and functions as ordered, ensuring comprehensive documentation of care.
• Administer medications, monitor responses, and take necessary actions for any unintended reactions.
• Respond swiftly to patient needs and proactively address requests to provide exceptional care.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, and medications, ensuring a clear understanding of complex information.
Qualifications:
• Associate Degree in Nursing or an RN Diploma required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.
• Must hold an active and valid nursing license in the state of practice or possess a compact license.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
