About the Role:
As an Oncology Medical Surgical Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care. You will work collaboratively with medical providers and the healthcare team to deliver personalized, comprehensive, and empathetic care to our patients, aligning with our organization's vision and values.
Your Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' conditions upon admission and during each shift, promptly identifying any changes that require attention.
• Perform assigned procedures and monitor patients as prescribed, ensuring accurate and timely documentation in their medical records.
• Administer medications, monitor their effects, and respond appropriately to any adverse reactions.
• Deliver exceptional care by promptly addressing patient requests and proactively anticipating their needs.
• Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, and necessary follow-up actions, translating complex medical information into understandable terms.
Qualifications:
• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.
• Current RN licensure in the state of practice or an active compact license.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
