Occupational Therapist School Setting in Huntersville, NC

Step into a dynamic contract opportunity making a real difference in the lives of students as a licensed Occupational Therapist supporting schools near Huntersville and Concord, NC. This is a full-time itinerant role, providing essential OT services across multiple school sites for a maternity leave coverage, beginning as soon as possible through late January 2028 (tentatively). Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, address diverse student needs, and contribute to a supportive learning environment each day.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Active, unrestricted Occupational Therapy license in North Carolina (submit snapshot of active licensure)

• Experience as a school-based OT, with a strong understanding of pediatric therapy in educational settings

• Familiarity with ECATS or similar educational case management systems highly desired

• Proven ability to adapt and thrive in itinerant roles, serving students at different campuses

• Excellent communication skills, flexibility, and commitment to building rapport with students, families, and school staff

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive occupational therapy assessments, interventions, and consultation services to K-12 students

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals

• Document evaluations, progress reports, and treatment notes accurately and timely, utilizing ECATS

• Collaborate with educators, administrators, and parents to promote student participation and success in academic activities

• Serve as a resource for staff and caregivers, offering strategies and support for students functional skills
