A confidential regional litigation firm is seeking an experienced Insurance Coverage Of Counsel attorney to support a defense-side, litigation-focused coverage practice based in Houston. This role is geared toward a coverage litigator who can step into sophisticated policy-related disputes and deliver strong written advocacy and practical counseling.

THE ROLE






- Handle insurance coverage litigation matters on the defense side, including policy analysis and coverage positions.
- Draft and argue motions; manage discovery; take and defend depositions.
- Prepare case strategy, correspondence, and coverage-related briefing with a strong emphasis on writing quality.
- Coordinate closely with attorneys and clients to move matters efficiently through litigation milestones.






LOCATION, SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION





Location:

Houston, Texas.





Compensation:

$150,000 to $225,000 (base salary range).





REQUIREMENTS






- Active Texas bar admission.
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
- Substantive insurance coverage experience (litigation-focused).
- Strong legal writing and motion practice skills.






COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS






- Billable hour expectation: 1,800.
