Locum - Medical Physicist - Radiation Oncology
Join a well-respected healthcare facility in Lansing, Michigan, known for providing compassionate outpatient care. This role is tailored for an experienced Therapeutic Medical Physicist dedicated to the field of Radiation Therapy. Candidates should be prepared to work with a diverse patient population, primarily in an outpatient setting, covering multiple facilities. The position is not remote and requires on-site presence.
Job Responsibilities:
• Conduct chart checks, including initial assessments and weekly reviews.
• Perform machine quality assurance (QA) activities.
• Manage high dose rate (HDR) treatment planning and operational tasks.
• Supervise Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT) treatments.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Medical Physicist role; preference for 5 years or more.
• Experience with Proton Therapy is essential.
• Clean background with no malpractice or license issues.
• Familiarity with documentation systems, preferably Aria.
License and Certification Requirements:
• Board certification from the American Board of Medical Physics (ABMP) or Canadian College of Physics in Medicine (CCPM) is required.
• Candidates must be local; only mileage is eligible for reimbursement.
