Infusion Nurse - RN

Position Summary

Clearwell Infusion Centers is seeking a skilled and compassionate Infusion Registered Nurse to administer specialty infusion therapies — including biologics, IVIG, iron infusions, and Alzheimer's immunotherapy infusions (e.g., Kisunla, Leqembi) — in an outpatient ambulatory infusion suite. This role is central to delivering safe, efficient, and patient-centered infusion care in a fast-growing specialty practice.

Key Responsibilities


- Administer IV infusions and injections per physician orders, including biologics, iron replacement therapy, IVIG, and neurology/Alzheimer's immunotherapy infusions
- Perform patient assessments before, during, and after infusion, including vital signs, IV site checks, and monitoring for infusion reactions
- Establish and maintain peripheral IV access; monitor and manage central lines/ports as needed
- Recognize and respond to infusion-related reactions and adverse events per protocol, escalating to the ordering provider promptly
- Follow MRI monitoring and ARIA-surveillance protocols for Alzheimer's immunotherapy patients where applicable
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EMR, including infusion start/stop times, drug lot numbers, and patient response
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, expected side effects, and home-care instructions
- Coordinate with front office and billing staff on prior authorizations, scheduling, and drug procurement timelines
- Maintain compliance with USP <797>/<800> handling standards, infection control protocols, and OSHA requirements
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adverse-event reporting


Required Qualifications


- Active, unencumbered Florida RN license (or active multistate compact license)
- Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience; infusion, oncology, med-surg, or ED experience strongly preferred
- Demonstrated IV insertion and venous access skills
- Strong assessment and clinical judgment for recognizing infusion reactions
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, patient-facing outpatient environment


Preferred Qualifications


- CRNI (Certified Registered Nurse Infusion) certification
- Experience with specialty biologics or neurology/Alzheimer's immunotherapy infusions
- Bilingual in Spanish and/or Haitian Creole
- Experience with prior authorization and buy-and-bill specialty pharmacy workflows


Work Environment & Physical Demands

Outpatient ambulatory infusion suite with individual treatment chairs/rooms. Standard business hours with occasional early morning, evening, or Saturday coverage as patient volume requires.


- Prolonged standing/walking and frequent use of hands for IV insertion and equipment operation
- Occasional lifting/assisting patients up to 25–35 lbs
- Visual acuity for medication verification and infusion pump programming


Compensation & Benefits


- Hourly pay range: $33.00 – $53.00, commensurate with experience (0–10+ years' experience)
