Home Infusion Staff Pharmacist - Olathe, Kansas

A clinical pharmacist with expertise in home infusion and IV therapy is needed for a direct hire position based in Olathe, Kansas. This role centers on preparing, dispensing, and monitoring complex intravenous and subcutaneous therapies, playing a critical role in managing patient care in a multidisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare sterile pharmaceutical products and IV solutions under strictly regulated conditions.

• Monitor patient lab values, calculate pharmacokinetic dosing, and adjust Total Parenteral Nutrition plans as required.

• Provide detailed patient and caregiver education on infusion systems, sterile techniques, and catheter care.

• Coordinate closely with physicians, nurses, and internal teams to optimize therapy outcomes and support patient adherence.

• Ensure all operations comply with applicable pharmacy, health, and safety regulations.

• Manage pharmaceutical inventory and oversee the safe packaging and timely shipping of medications to patients.

Desired Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in infusion specialty pharmacy.

• Prior experience with Intravenous Immunoglobulin (IVIg) is highly preferred.

• Strong understanding of specialty therapy payer requirements and reimbursement procedures.

• Current and good standing pharmacist license in Kansas.

• Additional pharmacist licenses in states such as CA, ID, IL, KY, MA, MD, MI, NV, OR, OK, TN, TX are highly preferred.

• Familiarity with pharmacy management systems, notably CareTend.

Location: Olathe, KS

Schedule:

• Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

• Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

• Participation in an on-call rotation with less than five after-hours calls per week.
