Physician Assistant - Hematology/Oncology

Job Details:

• Inpatient Hematology/Oncology APP position open to Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants

• Day shift schedule, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday

• Full-time coverage needed with 11-16 patients per day

• Patient population includes all ages within a Hematology/Oncology department

• APP support available on the inpatient side for both hematology and oncology during daytime hours

• Must be comfortable working in an unsupervised setting with solid tumor patients

• Experience with benign and malignant hematology patients is required

• Knowledge of bone marrow practices is beneficial but highly specialized experience is not required

• Two APP positions available: one focused on Oncology and one with a strong Hematology focus

• EMR system used is Epic; charting system experience is required

• Certifications required: BLS and ACLS

• Board certification as a PA or APP required

• Minnesota state license required; willing to license only if IMLC eligible

• DEA not required
