About the Role
The Company is in search of an Executive Director for Clinical Assessment and Evaluation in Solid Tumors. The successful candidate will be instrumental in the strategic development of the oncology pipeline, with a focus on solid tumor malignancies. This role requires a visionary leader who can design comprehensive clinical development plans, evaluate emerging modalities, and curate a pipeline of first-in-class assets. The Executive Director will be responsible for clinical development architecture, including the design of innovative trial concepts and indication prioritization based on scientific and market data. Additionally, the role involves due diligence for in-licensing opportunities, maintaining target product profiles, and providing competitive intelligence to align the company's assets with the future oncology landscape.
Applicants must have an MD, with a PhD and/or MBA highly desirable, and a minimum of 12 years' of experience in clinical development within the biotech or pharma industry. A deep understanding of the oncology landscape, a professional network in the scientific community, and experience in scientific due diligence for M&A or licensing deals are essential. The ideal candidate will also have a background in business development, be familiar with FDA/EMA oncology guidance, and possess the ability to interpret complex biomarker data and high-level biostatistical outputs. The role demands a strategic yet hands-on leader with the confidence to make decisive, strategic decisions and the ability to forecast the oncology landscape for future shifts in standard care.
