Ecommerce Platform Architect

Overview

Our client is seeking an E-Commerce Platform Consultant/Architect to support and accelerate a high-priority B2B e-commerce initiative with an aggressive timeline targeted for completion by year-end. This role will focus on platform configuration, optimization, ERP integration, and helping maximize native platform capabilities while working alongside an established development team.





Environment


- B2B e-commerce platform (currently CIMcloud)
- Existing integration with Acumatica ERP
- Offshore development team supporting ongoing development efforts
- Mix of standard platform functionality and custom-built features






Key Responsibilities


- Configure, optimize, and enhance the e-commerce platform to meet business requirements
- Leverage out-of-the-box functionality and best practices before pursuing custom development
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and offshore developers to deliver project objectives
- Evaluate existing configurations and customizations and recommend improvements
- Support integration efforts between the e-commerce platform and ERP systems
- Provide architectural guidance and help drive technical decisions






Ideal Background


- Experience configuring and administering e-commerce platforms in a B2B environment
- Strong understanding of e-commerce workflows, product catalogs, pricing, customer management, and order processing
- Experience working with ERP-integrated commerce solutions
- NetSuite experience is a plus and may provide an easier transition, but it is not required
- Experience with Acumatica integrations is highly desirable
- Ability to work across both business and technical teams to translate requirements into platform solutions
- Experience assessing and supporting customizations when needed






Nice to Have


- Previous experience with CIMcloud or similar ERP-connected e-commerce platforms
- Understanding of e-commerce architecture and integration best practices
- Experience working with distributed or offshore development teams






Summary

This is not a pure software development role. The client is looking for someone with strong e-commerce platform configuration experience, ERP integration knowledge, and the ability to maximize native platform functionality. Prior CIMcloud experience is beneficial but not required, making this an excellent opportunity for professionals coming from other e-commerce platforms, particularly those with ERP-connected environments.









The salary range for this position is $70/hr to $75/hr. Benefits available to contract/temporary professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance.
