This role is ideal for a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with strong leadership expertise in hospice care, home health, or clinical operations management.

The Director of Hospice Nursing Services will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for an assigned Hospice location with a developing census. You will lead day-to-day operations, manage interdisciplinary teams, and ensure high-quality, patient-centered care while fostering a culture of compassion, respect, and integrity. Your role will focus on achieving business and organizational goals, meeting regulatory standards, and addressing community needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Hands-on Leadership: Drive a hospice program focused on clinical quality, operational performance, and census expansion.
• Ensure compliance with accrediting and regulatory standards.
• Incorporate continuous quality improvement principles in daily operations.
• Utilize data to manage and enhance service quality.
• Stay current with the latest trends and technologies in the field.
Human Resources Management:
• Promote effective communication and provide employee support during changes.
• Oversee orientation, training, and continuing education for staff.
• Collaborate with leadership to evaluate team performance and set goals.
• Manage employee relations and conduct performance evaluations.
• Ensure workload distribution is fair and consistent.
Office Operations Management:
• Coordinate various teams to meet strategic goals.
• Monitor and improve performance of branch operations and patient care.
• Assure accurate and timely documentation of services.
• Assist with problem-solving for patient needs.
• Ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Financial Resource Management:
• Conduct financial reviews and manage budgets effectively.
• Seek ways to reduce costs while maintaining quality.
• Forecast and plan resource needs within budget parameters.
Qualifications:
• Education: Registered Nurse with an associate degree in nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Experience: Minimum one year of management or supervisory experience; two or more years in hospice/home care required.
• Comprehensive understanding of hospice regulations and Medicare conditions.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage operations.
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
• Commitment to delivering compassionate care to patients and families.
Licenses & Certifications:
• Current license to practice nursing in the relevant state.
• CPR Certification.
• Valid driver's license and current automobile insurance.
