Role Overview
The Assistant Nurse Manager supports daily unit operations, collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, and assists in patient care delivery on a 24-hour basis. They oversee staff development through coaching, training, and performance management, ensuring adherence to organizational goals and budget constraints. The role involves promoting nursing philosophy, participating in educational initiatives, and maintaining operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in managing department operations, financials, and industry trends.
Develop and guide nursing staff through coaching and training.
Monitor and control departmental budget and expenditures.
Collaborate with support services to ensure efficient patient care.
Support educational and research initiatives within the nursing team.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; BSN required, Master's preferred.
Current RN licensure in Ohio and BLS certification; PALS, ACLS, TNCC, NRP certifications as needed.
Minimum of 4 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership role preferred.
Clinical pediatrics experience required; proficiency in MS Office and EMR software.
Strong interpersonal skills, conflict resolution, and staff development abilities.
