I am a molecular biologist with an M.S. in Cellular and Molecular Biology from San Francisco State University and a passion for understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying human disease. My research experience spans molecular biology, virology, immunology, and translational science, with expertise in PCR, DNA/RNA extraction, RNAscope, fluorescence microscopy, flow cytometry, and experimental assay development. During my graduate research, I independently developed and optimized a novel RNAscope assay to investigate host–pathogen interactions, strengthening my skills in experimental design, troubleshooting, data analysis, and scientific communication. I have also completed research at the UCSF Center for AIDS Research, where I worked with immune cell assays and flow cytometry, as well as a biotechnology internship supporting process development. I am seeking Research Associate opportunities where I can contribute to innovative therapies while continuing to grow as a scientist. My interests include molecular biology, immunology, virology, oncology, biomarker development, and cell and gene therapy.
