Vice President Operations

Verve Search Group is seeking an experienced, hands-on Vice President of Operations with
deep, practical knowledge of pool construction and outdoor living spaces. The ideal candidate understands the technical details of a build and has the ability to oversee every phase of construction on-site when necessary.





This is a true construction operations leadership role. We need someone who can take ownership of day-to-day operations, strengthen project management processes, improve field productivity and profitability, and build the systems and management structure needed to support continued growth.





The ideal candidate will have:


- Deep, practical pool construction experience — especially important for this role.
- Direct oversight of field-level construction management and processes.
- Proven experience vetting, selecting, and managing subcontractors.
- Strong operational planning, job scheduling, and execution skills.
- A demonstrated history of operating with a strong sense of urgency and driving projects across the finish line.
- 10–20+ years of experience in construction operations leadership.
- Experience managing multiple divisions or business units within a construction organization.
- Experience operating within businesses generating $20M–$100M+ in annual revenue.
- A proven track record of leading project managers, superintendents, production managers, and office teams.
- Experience standardizing estimating, scheduling, purchasing, and project management processes.
- A track record of improving gross margins and job-level profitability.
- Strong people-management skills, including recruiting and developing managers and field leadership.
- Familiarity with project management platforms such as Buildertrend.
- A builder’s mindset — someone who understands how projects actually get built, not just how they are managed from an office.
