Responsibilities

• Deliver prescribed external beam radiation therapy treatments using a Varian TrueBeam system, ensuring accurate patient setup and treatment verification
• Utilize IX and ARIA software for treatment planning, record-and-verify processes, and treatment documentation in accordance with clinical protocols
• Collaborate with the oncology team (physicians, dosimetrists, medical physicists, and radiation therapists) to implement treatment plans and optimize patient care
• Perform patient positioning, immobilization, image guidance, and safety checks; monitor patient status during treatment and respond to concerns
• Maintain precise treatment records, communicate any deviations or adverse events to the care team, and ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards
• Assist with general clinical duties as assigned and participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives

Requirements

• Active New York license in hand
• Graduation from an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology
• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
• At least one year of radiation therapy experience
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology; ability to interpret basic imaging and treatment-related documentation
• Ability to work in a hospital setting and participate in 8-hour day shifts (Day Shift)
