Travel Radiation Therapist

American Traveler is seeking a Radiation Therapist with ARRT (T) certification and Maine state licensure for a 13-week assignment at a Level II Trauma Center serving as a regional oncology hub.

Job Details

• Radiation Oncology department at a Level II Trauma Center and Certified Stroke Center with 411 beds,
• Outpatient and inpatient care areas, primarily serving adult and geriatric patients with very few pediatric cases,
• Averages 90 patients per day across three linacs,
• Equipment includes three Varian TrueBeam Linacs and a Siemens Somatom Go Open Pro CT Simulator,
• Uses Mosaiq for EMR and charting,
• Shift runs 7:30AM-4:00PM for 36 hours per week,
• No weekend shifts or on-call requirements,
• Floating as needed to cover linacs,
• 1-1.5 week orientation based on experience and comfort level,

Job Requirements

• ARRT (T) certification required,
• BLS certification required,
• Maine state license for Radiation Therapy required (license required if applicable),
• Minimum of 1 year experience in radiation therapy specialty,
• Mosaiq experience preferred,
• Varian TrueBeam experience preferred,

• Deliver radiation therapy treatments using advanced linac technology,
• Holiday coverage done in rotation with other techs,
• RTO subject to manager approval,
• Schedule set in 4-week blocks to the best ability of the facility,
• Scrubs of any solid professional color accepted, or facility-provided scrubs available,

• Open to first-time travelers,
• Open to candidates with 1 year of experience, preferably with Mosaiq and/or Varian experience,
• Candidates must reside 100+ miles South/SW of the facility,
• Candidates who have previously worked in a permanent capacity at any Northern Light Health hospital are not eligible,
• Flu vaccination required for clearance to start, with medical exemptions only accepted subject to client review
