Description

American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with 1+ years experience and PET/CT proficiency on Siemens equipment for a hospital-based nuclear medicine department.
Details
• Hospital-based nuclear medicine department that does not perform nuclear cardiology exams
• Adult patient population
• Day shift, 5x8 hours, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM
• 13-week assignment
• Utilizes Philips and Siemens imaging equipment
• Epic charting experience preferred
• May float to like units within scope as needed based on facility needs
Requirements
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
• ARRT(N) and NMTCB certification required
• BLS certification required
• PET certification preferred
• Experience with PET/CT imaging and Siemens equipment
• Proficiency in bone scan, whole body, limited, 3-phase, shunt, abdominal, and ventricular studies
• SPECT imaging experience including bone, brain, liver, renal, and thyroid studies
• Experience with lung scan, HIDA scan, gastric emptying, and liver/spleen scan procedures
• Skilled in drawing venous blood and starting/maintaining IVs
• Experience with isolation precautions/PPE and storing/handling/disposal of radioactive materials
• License required if applicable
Additional Information
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Local candidates within 75 miles of the facility are not accepted
• Former staff must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Travel pairs or groups are not accepted
• Brief unit orientation provided for floating assignments
• RTO must be submitted at time of application and no more than 3 days will be auto-approved
• No RTO permitted during the first week of orientation
