Patient Ratio: 1:31:4, flexing up to 1:5
Equipment• Baxter IV pumps

Required Qualifications Candidates must have:
• Previous Oncology nursing experience

• Active RN license

• BLS certification

Preferred Qualifications• Hematology/Oncology experience

• Chemotherapy certification

Typical Patient Care The unit commonly manages:
• Oncology patients

• Blood product replacement

• Electrolyte replacement

• Complex oncology-related care

Floating Travel RNs may float to:
• Hematology/Oncology

• Bone Marrow Transplant

Unit Guidelines• Neutropenic precautions

• Strict intake and output monitoring

• CHG bath and linen change every 24 hours

• Dressing changes every 7 days

• Lines and caps changed every 96 hours

• No children under 16 permitted on the unit

Dress Code• Royal blue scrubs

Weekends & Call• Rotating weekends

• No on-call requirement
