Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Oncology for a travel nursing job in Fargo, North Dakota.

Job Summary
Medical Surgical Oncology Floor Nurse in Fargo This position involves providing comprehensive nursing care to hematology and oncology patients within a busy level 1 trauma center. The role requires collaboration with the interdisciplinary team and adherence to clinical protocols to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details
• Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Active BLS (American Heart Association), ND or Compact RN License or willing to obtain, 2 years of recent nursing experience in a large hospital setting, including blood product management, symptom/side effect management, and head-to-toe assessments. Experience with EPIC electronic medical records is required.
• Schedule: D/N rotating shifts, every other weekend, every other holiday, 12-hour shifts scheduled for a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Nurses care for medically complex hematology/oncology patients, including those requiring blood products, antibiotics, and symptom management. They may administer chemotherapy if trained. Unit utilizes EPIC, Philips Care Monitors, glucometers, bladder scanners, language line, and zebra phone. Training includes 8 hours of classroom instruction plus 24-36 hours of unit training. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:3 for chemotherapy or bone marrow transplant patients and 1:4-5 for other oncology patients. Floating to all med-surg units within the Fargo area may be required.
