Job Description
Role Overview
Performs radiation therapy procedures in accordance with practice standards to support diagnosis and treatment of disease. Ensures accurate technique, positioning, and treatment plans to optimize patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Demonstrates comprehensive understanding of Radiation Oncology principles and applies appropriate techniques.
Administers prescribed procedures and treatments with precision.
Completes documentation to meet hospital policies and ensures equipment, rooms, and work areas are maintained in a safe, clean condition.
Participates in performance improvement activities to uphold patient care standards.
Achieves assigned goals related to patient treatment and departmental operations.
Qualifications & Skills
Recent experience as a Radiation Therapist preferred.
Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Therapy or a recent graduate awaiting certification; proof required within 60 days.
State licensure if mandated by local regulations.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
Basic computer skills desirable.
