Shift Details: Full-time (40 hours)

Unit/Location: Saint Joseph Hospital

Essential Functions:
• Interpret and implement treatment plans and prescriptions, ensuring accurate delivery and charting of all simulation and treatment summaries.
• Conduct simulation procedures and prepare necessary immobilization devices, obtaining accurate measurements and contours for dosimetry.
• Perform quality assurance procedures and daily assessments of treatment machines, including necessary warm-ups.
• Assist in the clinical training and evaluation of student therapists when applicable.
• Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Provide basic patient care during treatment, educate patients, and monitor clinical progress for any treatment-related symptoms.
• Accurately document daily billing for all treatment-related procedures.
• Ensure timely and professional scheduling and treatment of patients.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Radiology Tech License in the state of practice, where applicable.
• Certification in Radiation Therapy from the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy from an accredited institution, with verification of education.

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to see and read information, including labels and patient needs, and to operate monitors and identify equipment.
• Frequent communication with patients and healthcare providers, necessitating effective verbal and auditory skills, especially in emergencies.
• Manual dexterity to operate complex equipment and frequent computer use for documentation and patient care.
• Capability to lift and assist in the movement of patients, manage supplies and equipment, and navigate potentially crowded environments.
• May require prolonged standing and mobility for patient transport.

The hourly range for this position is $47.38 - $73.11, with actual compensation dependent upon experience.
