Job Summary and Qualifications
As a Surgical Oncology Registered Nurse, your primary responsibility will be delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with departmental standards and best practices. You will collaborate closely with medical providers and care teams to ensure every patient receives personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care. Your Responsibilities Include:
• Conduct thorough assessments of patients upon admission and at each scheduled shift, quickly identifying and communicating any changes in their condition.
• Perform medical procedures and monitor patient progress based on physicians' orders while ensuring all care is accurately documented in medical records.
• Respond promptly and effectively to patient requests, always anticipating their needs to deliver exceptional care.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on medical conditions, treatment plans, medication regimens, potential side effects, and necessary follow-up measures, ensuring they understand complex medical terminology.
Qualifications Needed:
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of the employment start date.
• Current Registered Nurse license (RN).
• Education requirements include a Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree, or Associate Degree in nursing.
• At least one year of relevant nursing experience.
• No travel is required for this position.
