Job Description
We are seeking an experienced LPN to assist in providing high-quality resident care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Key Responsibilities Include
• Assisting nursing personnel and ensuring optimal patient care during assigned hours
• Delegating duties to non-licensed staff and monitoring performance
• Participating in quality assurance activities and infection control protocols
• Assisting with resident assessments, admissions, and documentation
• Monitoring skin integrity and implementing care plans for decubiti prevention
• Performing lab procedures, reviewing results, and notifying physicians
• Responding to emergencies, including performing CPR and notifying physicians of changes in patient condition
• Assisting with coordination of healthcare team activities and ensuring compliance with policies
• Participating in meetings and continuous training
Qualifications And Skills
• High school diploma required
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in North Carolina
• CPR certification, with annual renewal
• Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities
• Knowledge of nursing practices, regulations, and infection control
• Ability to operate nursing equipment and work effectively under pressure
Other requirements include a genuine interest in geriatric care, adherence to policies and procedures, and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
