Inpatient Bone Marrow Transplant Oncology RN - Hourly

Role: Provides inpatient nursing care for bone marrow transplant patients in a specialized 32-bed unit, managing leukemia, lymphoma, and blood cancer cases.

Responsibilities: Conducts patient assessments, develops and implements individualized care plans, and evaluates patient needs.

Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.

Participates in ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, while contributing to professional development.

Uses critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences and barriers.

Maintains communication across the care team and ensures safety-sensitive protocols are followed.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Nursing Diploma or ADN required; BSN preferred.
• Licenses: Active RN license.
Experience: No prior experience mandatory; <2 years preferred.• Skills: Critical thinking, patient education, teamwork, adaptability, safety awareness.

Key Duties: Direct patient care, care planning, patient education, safety promotion, and collaboration with multidisciplinary team members in a high-acuity oncology setting.
