Job Description

Join a leading academic medical center as a Special Procedures Nurse in the Oncology Rapid Assessment Clinic.

In this role, under the supervision of a physician or licensed practitioner, you will deliver complex, high-risk nursing care, including sedation, intravenous infusions, and specialized monitoring during procedures and recovery.

Key responsibilities include providing compassionate patient care, ensuring proper documentation, maintaining equipment, and supporting multidisciplinary teams.

You will assess and treat patient conditions such as pain, anxiety, and adverse reactions, while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Additional duties involve participating in quality assurance, assisting with staffing needs, and contributing to program development based on evidence-based practices.

Qualifications include an Associate Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred), Illinois RN licensure, and current CPR, ACLS, or PALS certifications.

Preferred Experience Includes Chemotherapy Administration And Research Environment Familiarity.

This full-time role involves night shifts, with responsibilities centered in the outpatient oncology setting.
